The Voice In A Million project is brought to you by the Classic Media Group. Founded in 1987, they have since produced over 500 Television and Home Video, music, comedy and documentary programmes. The Company has worked with some incredible talent over the years including Oliver Reed, Christopher Lee, Dame Vera Lynn, Rolf Harris, Joe Pasquale, Bill Wyman, Rick Wakeman, Brian May, Jim Davidson, Dionne Warwick; and many more.
Two of the producers of Voice in a Million are themselves adoptive parents of a beautiful young boy Samuel. They are well aware of the emotional, long and winding road of the adoption process. ‘We are very excited to be involved with this project and are happy to support and work in association with the British Association of Adoption & Fostering (BAAF) to present the Voice In A Million project to the nation’, explains Jo Garofalo. ‘Our journey through the adoption of Samuel has since changed our lives completely. He is a beautiful little boy, full of love and character’.
Voice in a Million was founded in July 2009 ; and then in association with the BAAF we launched the inaugural concert at the 02 Arena, London on Thursday 28th January 2010. 5,200 children performed in the choir.
The 02 concert was the first of many planned worldwide. We hope to achieve our goal of one million children making a difference. One million voices singing in harmony, throughout the world, bringing awareness of all the children who have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment. Children who need a new mother, a new father, a new home – a new family for life.
