We now offer all schools, whether they be independent, private, state, public or full or part time performance academies, the opportunity to create their own Voice in a Million Choir.
Starting and running your own VIAM Choir is FREE of charge.We provide all the rehearsal materials and backing tracks, which can be downloaded from this site, once you have registered as a TEACHER MEMBER. Our ‘unique’ model includes a video instruction, which can be downloaded; for every song in our songbook; as well as a video for our warm up. In addition we also run regular master classes and workshops online.
Some schools run their VIAM Choir as an additional after-school activity, others have incorporated the VIAM songbook into their current Choir repertoire.
Your Choir Members can join us as a VIAM Choir Member, (this is not compulsory), which entitles them to access our Members Only Area of the website . This is regularly updated with free tracks to download, competitions, details of stage choir auditions as well as the warm-up videos, online tuition for our current songbooks, rehearsal materials, online master classes, online rehearsals for our events, so choir members can get to see the soloists and featured choir members they will be singing with and much more. This also enables each member to be able to access their own materials and practice at home each week, prior to coming to your school choir practice..
After your school or group has rehearsed for a while, you may want to consider either joining us at one of our regional or national events, or maybe staging your own VIAM production at your school or local theatre. We generally stage regional productions in theatres close to our choirs, enabling up to 15 groups to take part. Our national events are staged in much larger arenas; and we generally have 200 or more schools taking part from across the country. Our Events
If you are already running your own VIAM choir or wish to register your current choir or group for one of our next events, taking part is easy and involves a minimal amount of administration for the school. There is no charge for a school or group to participate. Many schools that don’t have choirs also participate with their pupils for a fun and educational experience.
(The only cost involved is for each child joining the choir at one of our events is the purchase price of one our event T Shirts. Teachers and chaperones can purchase an event T Shirt if they wish, or wear a White T shirt of their own)
Simply register your school with us, by selecting (register your school or register your group) here you can choose your event; and send us an approximate number of children taking part from your group. This number can be adjusted up or down, at any stage. We generally find that once the group starts rehearsing, the numbers of children wanting to join the group or choir starts increasing. We also offer a group workshop, where one of our team comes along to the school and workshops a full rehearsal, as well as talking to the children and parents about the choir and the event.
We send you access to the rehearsal materials for your particular event, along with forms to download and send to each of your parents. It is then the responsibility of the parents to order their child’s event T Shirt from this website. All details for the parent are included in the form.The majority of our schools ask their Parent Teacher Association to assist in this.

Individuals
If you would like to join VIAM, but don’t belong to a school choir or performance group, youngsters of all ages can register to take part in one of our events by selecting ‘register as an individual’. Under 16s can also take part, however they have to be accompanied by a chaperone or parent. You can also apply for an audition to take part as a ‘Stage Choir’ member at one of our events, by selecting ‘Solo Audition’ (Stage Choir are the only members of the choir that are selected on their singing ability).
You can also register on this site, to join as a VIAM Choir Member. This entitles you to access our Members Only Area of the website . Regularly updated with free tracks to download, competitions, details of stage choir auditions , warm-up videos, online tuition for our current songbooks, rehearsal materials, online master classes, featured members and online rehearsals for our events, so choir members can get to see the soloists and featured choir members they will be singing with, plus much more. So to be part of the VIAM Choir, you don’t have to be in a school choir, you don’t have to be part of a performance school…you can simply join as a VIAM Choir Member, rehearse at home; and be part of the VIAM Experience.
We also run weekly VIAM Singing Academies in Surrey and E Yorkshire. If you wish to join one of these academies..select Join Academy. You can also suggest to your school or music teacher that they consider the VIAM repertoire.
