At the start of our Wembley show, we bring on a line of children holding their school banners. Each school should bring a banner, that can easily be carried by one child. Maybe a large sheet of card or board. Suggested size up to 1m wide 700mm high. Poles holding the banner are not allowed in the venue. The line of children will come to the front of the stage and then through the arena back to their choir places with their school.
We tried this in our regional events; and it was loved by the audience and parents, with each school getting a loud cheer.
The banner is carried by one child; and is accompanied by two other children from your group, one either side. We will have a number of chaperones on hand to lead and guide the children from their seats to the stage area. One of the VIAM creative team will lead aeach block through the arena back to their seats. (Each block has its own VIAM creative, and these will be at the front of each block, guiding the choir on when to move, when to sing, when to be still, when to shout, and any choreographed movements.
The banner can be placed on the handrail in fornt of the choir goups for the remainder of the performance.
